Tago Mago

Apparently there's been a few people who have mogged about CAN in the past, but for whatever reason I never noticed them until "Groon's krautrock post":http://mog.com/Groon/blog_post/131372.I was finally able to find a cd of theirs at Half Priced Books of all places. It's pretty amazing. Hopefully I'll be able to obtain some more (if I'm not too busy buying vinyl. Quadrophenia: Great condition: $13!)Here is track 1:

  1. MGFx3 says I have dial-up, so I can't really watch videos, they take like 4767.8555 years to load. But anyway, what kind of music do they play? Are they an old band?

  2. ZZTodd says yeah, they're an older band. they play a certain style of progressive rock, very influenced by the likes of The Velvet Underground or Frank Zappa. and welcome to mog, by the way

  3. Groon says I'm glad I could be a part of you discovering such a great band! And to find it at such an odd place . . . you never know what you'll find, if you look. I love the first four songs off of Tago Mago so much, but "Oh Yeah" is my definite favorite Can track of all time. That's the one that got me into them in the first place . . . MGFx3: welcome to MOG as well! If you're interested in Can some more, up in the original post where it says "Groon's krautrock post" is an actual link (a little hard to see, don't know if you saw it or not). You said you can't watch videos, but if you can listen to the music then you should be able to check them out that way. See you around!
