Martin Grech is a current inspiration..A young British alternative artist who is for REAL, he blends fragile acoustic melancholia with brutal twisted metal anchored around one of the most distinctive and breathtaking voices ever heard.Think Thom Yorke raised on a diet of Nine Inch Nails and Tool and you are getting close to what he creates.Signed to Island for his first two albums, Unholy was his difficult 2nd album. He parted company with Island records shortly after, but has managed to get his most recent work 'March of the Lonely' into the same market place on a smaller indie label.He has a cult following however fans will find it diffcult to see his gigs as he has upsticks and moved to LA.Possibly because the British Press have given him zero coverage.Possibly because he wants to take his Sub-gothic revolution to the corrupted inner core of decadent America.Let's hope he finds his way back to Britain somehow, some time soon.March of the Lonely would be a good place to start with Martin Grech, showing his more mellow acoustic side, it has some beautiful and haunting songs on it.
