I recently got 10 Ft. Ganja Plant's 2001 release Hillside Airstrip. This is an amazing Dub album. The songs range from roots reggae to electronic Dub but the whole time they maintain a vintage 70's Jamaican sound even though the band is from upstate New York. The song's "walkey walk tall" and "new day" are my current favorites. Great CD. I look forward to checking out their other albums.
Panic in Babylon has become one of my favorite albums. Lee Perry did an amazing job of blending different genres of music and creating a fresh new blend of Dub. I really enjoy trying to follow his lyrics on this album also!I just saw him live in Falls Church Virginia with my wife and good friend Blair. It was an amazing show. He was backed by US Dub band Dub Is A Weapon, who were also amazing. Bef
I've been listening to lot's of Don Caballero lately and the song "I'm Goofballs for Bozzo Jazz" is definitely noteworthy in my opinion. It really showcases drummer Damon Che's abilities I think. Please listen to this band!
This was the first Fucking Champs song I heard and I think it's one of the bests. I didn't quite know what to think when I heard the intro, but then MY GOD... it kicks in quite well. I love everything about this song. Two guitars, no bass, no vocals, AMAZING drumming. FUCKIN' SWEET!
