WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

I wanna scream at the top of my lungs

So...the more I hear tracks from John Mayer's latest "Continuum", the more impressed I'm becoming with him. I'm not such a fan of the earlier stuff, such as "Your Body Is A Wonderland", "Daughters", and that other song, I'm not sure of the title, but something about the real world....feel free to provide me with the correct title, anyone. A few weeks ago, I read Mayer's interview in the September 21st issue of Rolling Stone (ok, ok...it's a little bit of trend, but I can't help it...i like it.). I've been on the hunt for unreleased live Mayer tracks since I read it, and what I've found has been poor quality, recording wise, except for the Austin City Limits session that he recorded. That then prompted me to find a video of the session, which was great. He's really quite a good guitar player, but makes the worst faces....almost like someone is stepping on his foot or something, but that's beside the point. "Waiting On The World To Change" should be an anthem for gen-y and weather it is or not, I'm not entirely sure, I'm not that good with keeping up with mass media here lately. It has a pertinent message, I think. I'm not going to jump and call it a protest song, but more of a....general bitch about the state of things. While I've only heard 3 or 4 tracks from "Continuum", I can only imagine that he's crossing over yet another stone to an even more adult sound. I'm really interested in what other people think of it, since I haven't encountered many people that have actually heard it. Let me know.
