I've been an ANVIL metal pounder since 1982 when Metal On Metal came out. Back on May 31, 2008 their documentary ANVIL! THE STORY OF ANVIL was shown at the Brooklyn Academy of Music followed by a live performance in the BAM Cafe. The film is incredible, it's nothing like the standard rock documentaries. It's a very powerful flim, emotional and very funny all at the same time.
Anyway, I was flipping through the new issue of Spin (October 2008 with the Ding Dongs of Leon on the cover) and almost fell off my chair when I saw a big article on the band and movie. I was even more stunned when I turned the page and saw this photo from the show in May.
