Last night...I managed to score myself some tickets to a Rolling Stone Magazine event. I had been trying to butter up the sales rep for a couple of days. I knew the party was coming and I know I'm a media hussy who will go to any media party or even the opening of an email (a level down from envelope).In the end...turns out, this chick at work- her husband is the sales rep. So on the day of the event, she called up her hubby and got me 2 VIP tickets to the event.1. Eskimo Joe are pretty damn good. Of course everyone goes nuts for the tracks that consistently stream over the radio.2. Best, best Show Bags I have ever received at any event. Consisted of some nice noise cancelling headphones, movie tickets, CDs, DVDs, hair product, clothing, perfume.... I felt like I was one of those presenters at the Oscars. Awesome.3. A friend sang one of their songs into my phone. It is now my new phone ring. It annoys almost anyone. It is great.Now I'm on the subs list for Rolling Stone and I'm saving it for my long plane trip from the A-U all the way to L-A. That's right people, I'm on my way to the promised land. I'll be on holiday, I'll try to not blog slash mog, but you never know. I'm addicted. I probably won't be able to restrain myself.
