I had it wrong last year, I think, remembering Fred Sonic Smith and Rob Tyner

I posted a post about Fred Sonic Smith last year on the 5th of November. I think he may have actually passed away on the 4th of Nov. So today should be Fred Sonic Smith day: a day to remember one vastly underrated guitarist and song writer. Not to mention one of Detroit's finest men. I missed posting on Rob Tyner's day of passing, so to honor both men I'm posting one of my favorite MC5 tunes. As a Michagander by birth and Rock'n'Roll by choice I'm bound by law to totally dig the MC5.
Future/Now - to me this song says "hey jackass, open your eyes and take a look around!" I feel like the MC5 saw a lot of lies, clearly, that a lot of people were willing blind to. There are a lot of people in the world that do not have your best interests in mind. I'll let the song speak for itself.

Great song, such an underrated album.
I'll drink to Fred Smith day.
It almost seems like everything the 5 were fightin' for in '68 is slowly coming about today (or at least in our sites) - but we still got a long way to go. God bless the MC5, Sonic Smith, and Fred Tyner!
well said, contra
Everyone has their favorite MC5 tune mine is Sister Anne from that album. I was lucky enough to see them at the Grande in Detroit in 1969 before it was shut down
Stefan, I don't give a fuck about the date, celebrate the music. My copy of the High Time album is a heavily scratched Japanese import and I'm damn grateful to have it. Anyway, it looks really cool, even if it is only a picture of a clock. Over and Over is what I would call the best song off that lp, but obviously that's open to interpretation. Which is weird, since I'm so obviously right.
word up, contrabandwidth--Fred was one of the ones fighting the good fight along with his main squeeze Patti.
Thanks for keeping him fresh in our minds!
What album is this from?
Oatmeal - It looks like MOG ate my tags and erased them, so I just went back and fixed it. This is Future/Now off the album High Time, the MC5's 3rd album.
Thanks
