This is a gorgeous track off the new Goldfrapp album 'Seventh Tree'. 'A&E' it's called, track number 7. The album is worth the listen, some very interesting stuff on there, but this is the standout track for me. Meoldically, the chorus is gorgeous, and the drums really kicking in at the bridge about 2mins in through some sort of filter effect bring it up a notch. Awesome. Other highlights for me i

Thought I'd throw up another of my favourites from Hugh Cornwell's 'Hooverdam'. These sort of ballad-type songs seem to work really well at times from acts that aren't really known for ballads and more for their 'harder' or 'punkier' sound. I guess that's why it works, because it's so unexpected from what we're used to hearing from them. This track is called 'Beat Of My Heart'. The whole album is a

I hadn't heard any of Carla Bruni's music before today and assumed, possibly incorrectly, that it was just crap. And then I found this. Quite a groovey little ditty, 'Those Dancing Days Are Gone', is quite possibly the last thing I would have expected to hear from the future/current/not-bloody-likely French first lady. Check out the link. Posted by the peeps at Raised on Indie.

Seems there's two singer-songwriters who go by the name 'Rob Reynolds'. The one I posted about is found at www.myspace.com/robreynoldsmusic and is the UK singer-songwriter Rob Reynolds. The iTunes and Amazon links appear to be correct.

This track is from a singer-songwriter called Rob Reynolds. Amazingly honest and soulful artist. 'Don't You Ever Dream' is the last track on the album 'The Curious World'. Haven't listened to this for ages and don't know why I had the sudden urge to listen to it now other than I'm just in the mood for it. Soft acoustic guitar and vox with simple sparse piano lines. Very soulful.

This is one of my all-time favorite tracks by now. I can't live without it, even after listening to it hundreds of times I still can't get enough. The moog lines are wicked as are some of the bass lines. Features Jerry Cantrell in some bad-ass Curtis Mayfield style. Stevie's solo is well tasty. This one I got from the UK version of the Best of, which I think has a couple of different tracks to the
