On the Ninth Day of Katemas...

Posted 3 months ago

Being the Ninth Day we focus on the Ninth Wave.

On the second side of Hounds of Love, The Ninth Wave, takes its name from a poem by Tennyson. Each of its tracks conveys the story of a woman who is lost at sea and facing the threat of drowning.

IMHO, this is one of the greatest concept pieces ever recorded

As there are no official videos for these songs, nor any known live or TV performances, we have fan made vids for each track on the side

And Dream of Sheep

Under Ice

Waking the Witch

Watching You Without Me

Jig of Life

Hello Earth

Morning Fog

Weird, didn't know it was about being lost at sea. I thought it was about a skating accident and drowning and the aftermath when her soul is being pulled between life and death. Thanks for all the Kate - did you see the breast cancer tribute with maxwell's version of This Woman's Work? Getting some big props online. XO
