Jeff Beck will not be part of the equation if The Yardbirds reunite this year. The English guitar virtuoso has no plans to tour with Jimmy Page, Chris Dreja and Jim McCarty as the Yardbirds this fall. The development contradicts a previous report, according to Billboard. Beck's manager says "there is no truth to any rumors" regarding Beck's role in the potential reunion. Beck is currently on the heels of a European tour tonight (ended July 20) and will play Eric Clapton's Crossroads festival in Chicago in August, but has no further plans for the rest of the year.

Alas, I have no love for Clapton or Beck EXCEPT for their Yardbirds days.
