Farrell: Lollapalooza Around The World

A Euro-Lollapalooza? That's what the festival's co-founder and Satellite Party frontman Perry Farrell explained in an interview with MTV.com"I'm going to look to take it global. I want to put together an event around the world in the next 10 years that will refashion, redress and transform." In the mean time, Pearl Jam is headlining this summer's Lollapalooza, in Chicago. Modest Mouse, Muse, Snow Patrol, the Silversun Pickups, Blue October, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are scheduled to perform for the festival's third yeah in Chi-Town, August 3-5.The move to go global is in step with Al Gore's upcoming "7-7-07" festival to be held in seven continents on the corresponding date. Gore has stated that the event will be to "promote awareness about global warming."
