Well, if you do a Google! search for "Nada So So," you will find out more about the song, the movie, etc. I suspect (I took Spanish in high school and college, so I know about as much about Japanese as Hawaiian!) that the "Soh" spelling is in keeping with the correct pronunciation of the written character. (See; So Yamamura, actor, sometimes referred to as "Soh Yamamura.") From what I've seen/heard over the years, foreign words found in colloquial use in Asian languages can have very different meanings/contexts. Take Portuguese "Tempora," which leads to Japanese "Tempura" in the case of food vs. ritual/custom of the original loan word. (From what I've read, Portuguese/Catholic Tempora=Lent, which leads to meat- and fish-less dishes, etc.) That said, the Japanese who settled in Brazil may have more to say about how Japanese and Portuguese mesh at their level.
