Soulful interpretations of "The Star-Spangled Banner" are all the rage these days, to judge by the YouTube videos. I didn't post José Feliciano's version because I figured everyone knew about it. I stand corrected; large numbers of people think Jimi Hendrix' electric guitar version is the coolest thing they've ever heard. I prefer this version, first heard in July 1968, in Detroit, MI.
