It was the early 1990's, I think, and there was a small store called "Hungry Ear" that was one among several on Kamehameha highway. Curiousity won out, and I was soon looking at racks of used music CDs of every kind. I was in my Jazz/Hawaiian phase then, and saw Spyro Gyra's "Morning Dance" music CD among the piles. It turned out to be a bright, sprightly introduction to Indie/small music stores that weren't Tower Records. The original is buried somewhere, so here's the live version.
