The "World music" designation gets a workout with English lyrics to a medley from a music CD and a movie, respectively. I'll post something more appropriate for the weekend later.
Ka Nohona Pili Kai by Keali'i Reichel and Puakea Nogelmeier
The spray of the sea comes as a breath
Rustling the leaves of the ti plants
Like a perfumed whisper scenting the air
Ever calling to me
Beloved, beloved indeed
Beloved is the sweetest remembrance
Beautiful, beautiful indeed
Beauty embodies that seaside home
The mind wanders freely in the dark of night
Wakeful from the spirit-like voice of the sea
Precious images drift through my thoughts
Always bringing a sense of peace
The shade of the coconut grove is like a family to me
Embracing me like a morning glory
Those who are gone become a thing of beauty
An everlasting adornment to hold dear
The spray of the sea recounts the story
That perfumed murmur of the deep of night
The pathway lies before us that we shall tread
Beckoning us ever forward
Stream of Tears by Rimi Natsukawa
Turning the pages of old photographs
I whisper thanks to each and every one
Deep in my heart you have come, come to live
Sure as the sun to see me through
Come rain or shine however the day may be
You shelter me with your smile
However far your memories may fade
Traces of you I hope to find
Then you appear and I drown in my own tears
I wish on a star, the first star of the night
You’ll find me here every evening of the year
As twilight approaches I look to the sky
Searching for you with all of my heart
In grief and joy I long for you and your smile
Hoping you feel the way I do
If only you could find me from where you are
I do believe somewhere in time
I do believe I will see you once again
Come rain or shine however the day may be
You shelter me with your smile
But as each memory of you fades away
I’m so alone longing for you
You’re on my mind as I drown in my own tears
Missing you so I’m missing you so
You’re on my mind as I drown in my own tears

I have "Spike Jones is Murdering the Classics" on LP, but nothing on CD. I found this Proper Records (GB) "music depreciation" CD at Borders. This version of "Tennessee Waltz" is typical Spike Jones...a WTF kind of performance. See what Madeline started?

Ku'u Pete by Mary Kawena Pukui and Irmgard Farden Aluli
Surely unusual
Is my favorite donkey
He is good and he is stubborn
He is good and he is stubborn
What a peculiar disposition
Pete is terrific
So agile and nimble
Stones mean nothing
Stones mean nothing
Over the hills and down the valleys
Pete is stubborn
The feet forward
Feet up and back
Feet up and back
He'll plop right down on the road
I tug from in front
And push from behind
But he just will not heed
But he just will not heed
Even to the crack of a whip
Let the story be told
Of Pete's obstinate nature
When he gets stubborn
When he gets stubborn
He'll plop right down on the road
