The Church were way ahead of their time, although they have lost me at times along the way with their prog rock explorations this is classic power pop that still sounds great.
People associate The Church way too strongly with Starfish, which I don't particularly like. Their best moments, for me, are the jangle-pop of their early albums and their more recent psych-drone.
Umm, "Unguarded Moment" is on Of Skins And Heart, not Blurred Crusade.

Wade, I agree The Chruch did have their moments.
It is a shame that many folks dimiss them because of a few popular songs.
They put out a few records (3 I think) before they were popular here in the states.
To this day, I will spin their vinyl when I am looking to relax and drift away to the "power pop" sound.
Thanks for this little reminder.

(Damn, I'm really sorry, it looks like I forgot to close the italics tag in Starfish.)

thanks chainsaw, that's correct of course. I was originally trying to find a good video for "almost with you" so I was thinking Blurred Crusade.

This version of "Almost With You" looks pretty good to me (except for the shirts):

sounds good to me too (i think I closed the italics)
