"One evening, after thinking it over for some time, Harold decided to go for a walk in the moonlight." So begins Harold and the Purple Crayon. As it turned out, there wasn't any moon that night nor was there a path to walk on, so Harold simply drew them.

Violinist Regina Carter is on a mission: to make a meaningful musical contribution and do it on her own terms. Over the past four years, Ms. Carter and her quintet have brought audiences to their feet with exhilarating performances worldwide. Her influences have ranged from R&B to East Indian to classical music. She is completing work on her album Reverse Threads, a collection of infectious African folk melodies in a beautiful, contemporary interpretation as only she can provide.

THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD - March 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. & 12:15 p.m.
Giant trains and life-sized toys will captivate audiences when the Omaha Theater Company presents the inspirational classic The Little Engine That Could. In this heartwarming musical-story of a bygone time, several large steam engines are asked to pull a heavy train full of toys over a steep mountain, but all refuse. The ambitious Little Blue Engine is the only one who is up to the task, and with the audience helping him chant, "I think I can, I think I can," he will succeed.

The year is 1929 and Sally Bowles, a middle-class lass from Chelsea, London, is working as a singer at Berlin's Kit-Kat Club and trying her best to live the thrillingly decadent life the city is supposed to offer. Cabaret features such hits as "It Couldn't Please Me More," "Wilkommen," "Cabaret," "Don't Tell Mama," "Two Ladies," and many more!
