SOUNDS OF FUTURE PAST AND PRESENT PERFECT

HTM -> thursday is for metal

Posted about 1 year ago
This second A7x song has the wickedest acoustic guitar solo of all-time at the end, if you can sustain your mind through 6 minutes of chaotic orchestration. Zack Vengance if liquid perfect on his sweeping solos!I must say, if anyone has the full version of 'BLIND' by Korn, let me know, I will supply my email address so you can send that bastard to me!

  4. TylerDurden says SUNNY -> VAN is definetely right, today is the day for metal, rock, or whatever your passion is! But I aim to coronfuze, so apparently it worked. :->) <- that's my big nose by the way. VAN -> what can I say, you backing me up with your metal doctrine is outstanding. Your name will be eternally written in the Lambs book of rock!

  5. vannatta says LOL!!! Sunshine - that is truly an awesome comeback. Bravo. Tyler: You make it real easy to back you up brother - some day I hope to lay some metal on you - some original metal. Stay tuned.

  6. TylerDurden says VAN -> feelling's mutual, I gotta lay down some tracks, but I been to busy teaching guitar! gotta spread the sickness, ya know?!?!?!

  7. vannatta says ...absolutely - let me know what environment you record in - I swap tracks on the experimental/funk side with my peeps on the west coast via DVD data disks (when the tracks get monster) - and shoot redbook audio (or hell, even mp3) as reference tracks along the way - with zipped final takes at full bandwidth...

  8. TylerDurden says I put the final cuts on a roland 64 track recording studio, put in on cd, load it up into PC, whatever needs to be done. But first, before I let anybody in on my madness, I make a copy, and send it to myself in the mail and don't open it so if I ever needed to prove copyrighting I could open up the original -> I'm not up to date on all the technologies out ther, just put it on a cd and load it up into internet webmadness!

  9. vannatta says I hear you ... I go a step further and actually copyright it - register it with the Library of Congress, and during works in progress (unless I've worked successfully before with anyone) I put a quick thing in writing about how things will be divided up. Back in the day I was collaborating with a bass player, and wrote everything on the song, aside from the bass line, and was expecting a 50/50 split because we were both in the room (and how the courts look at it too without a contract) and the guy says "who wrote the riff" (meaning the bass line, which you can't copyright on its own) and took 100% of the credit. Needless to say, I never wrote with him again - but it was also an important lesson about getting everything out in the open and upfront before doing anything. - Van

  10. TylerDurden says better for relationships and musical creativity if you get the EASY politics out of the way up front, instead of having a double-dusche-ectomy of battle and destruction after the fact. Smart VAN. It's tough to get together with anyone right now, I am too much into making sure my son has his dad around growing up, I take outside everyday and do whatever he wants, ya know, my pops worked 2 jobs to make sure I had a roof and food, which was cool, but I never seen him daily until I was like 10, so just wanna get my boy what I didn't have. One of these days, I'll find one or two guys who can jam late-night with me!

  11. vannatta says I hear you brother - that's why its all soundtracks and remote collaboration right now ... a get calls all the time for rock/blues gigs, but simply don't have the time with family and business obligations... but I must say - if I didn't just play the piano regularly, or score my wife's art video projects, I would be a much less pleasant person to be around. Music has the power to heal, and keep us sane, no doubt - so even in my own small ways, I keep a hand in it as much as I can. You'll find the time eventually brother, and in the meantime, Rock on, Van

  12. TylerDurden says I got a busted acoustic at work I jam with during the lull's between the insanity, and I jam at home, but never feel like setting up to record. But I hear the healing power of playing and listening to music, truly a gift from God if I say so myself.
