Cold, Cold Ground is a very melodic masterpiece of elementariness guitar manifestations and airy atmospherics. Bill seems to have the knack of using simplicity to create a ever entwining musical graphic that is both abstract and ambient. The end result is a composition that grabs the listener into a theatrical feel of uneasiness and compromise. Truly a tune to look over your shoulder to see if everything is O.K.

This is one of those guys I hear about a lot, but never really sat down to listen to until now. I like this a lot. Definitely will have to check out his stuff. Thanks!

At first I thought the beat was pretty corny and the guitar was a slight improvement over soft jazz muzak. Then it changed and became more interesting. Surprised me that. I'd like to hear more pieces that don't start off as conventional as this one does though... I'll see if I can find the rest of this album and give it a try.
