Ya know, I started writing this long post explaining why this is Troy Powers' song of the day, but fuck it, I'll keep it short. I've been accused of being a bad boyfriend on quite a few occasions. And, honestly, I can't deny it. I've been told that I'm selfish, and it's true. As far as I'm concerned if people spent more time making themselves happy instead of trying to please other people or waiting for other people to please them, the world would be a much happier place. In the immortal words of Erykah Badu, "I work at pleasing me 'cuz I can't please you." And, as a corollary, I've found that the moment you over-extend yourself for a person, or put their happiness before your own, is the moment you find out they weren't worth it.
Bottom line: Fuck you if you don't like the way I do things. Have some soup.

I agree to a point. If your happiness is based on someone else, you can never be truly happy.
