So, I won't even attempt to make this post as glorious as the one the disappeared into cyberspace. I'll just cut to the chase.
A friend of mine was recommending this Guitar Hero video game to me, and I just did not think I would enjoy it. I figured the the rock songs and groups that I enjoy are far too few and far between for me to like this game.
So, that makes twice in my life I've been wrong.
Man, some of these songs are fuckin' GREAT!
Here's a list of songs I never thought I'd love: Detroit Rock City - Kiss I Think I'm Paranoid - Garbage Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs Mississippi Queen - Mountain When You Were Young - The Killers Blitzkrieg Bop - The Ramons (This song is so much fun!)
But, my favorite of all (so far) has got to be...
And, thanks to the video, I no longer feel strange for thinking of sperm cells when he sings the lyric about "little soldiers in a row"

Well, I guess I am a jack of all trades. I tried them all and scored in the 90% with all of them.. I my friend seem to be muti-talented. Lol.. Oh..yeah, it's funny but I hadn't listened to Songs for the deaf in a couple years til this came out. Then needless to say it came out of hiding and is currently in my c.d played in my car. I bought Rock Band for my PS2 and I can't get enough of it. I'm sure my neighbors just love when I'm on the drums all hours of the night. That's probably better than when I'm on the mic. I've been playing on the guitar mostly.

lol...I think Maps is probably the song I've played the most. First, it was my favorite. Then it was my best friend's favorite. Now, it's my daughter's favorite. I just got into Seven, but I love it. I'm So Sick is one of my favorites too. But, you're right. They're all great songs.
My friend was over the other day playing, and I warned him that Green Grass and High Tides had like a 10 minute guitar solo at the end. He thought I was exaggerating. So, he decides to play it on medium. Funniest shit ever! He paused like a quarter of the way through the solo like, "You can't be serious!"
