I guess I intend to write something a little more in-depth, but for now, this is what was hot (besides the 92 degree weather) at Lolla '09.
Kings of Leon - Fucking rocked! Best of show. Easily!
The Decemberists - Made my list of bands to get acquainted with
Jane's Addiction - Kicked ass and didn't bother taking names
Snoop Dogg - Got the party started
Silversun Pickups - Proved that their ready for the main stage next year
Arctic Monkeys - Sucked balls. :)

Last I heard, sucking balls was a good thing, so I'll take that Monkeys thing as a compliment and thank you on behalf of the band (I'm their geisha).

Ehhh...I'd do her. I've always had a thing for redheads. Can't say I'd buy her music though.
Jane's Addiction put on a great show. It was a choice between seeing them and The Killers to close the festival. We chose Jane's because we figured if it's your festival (Perry puts on Lolla every year) you're going to really put on a show. That theory held true. Very true. And Dave Navarro was sick!
I was surprised to like Decemberists. They played before KoL, so when we rolled up in the middle of their set, we joked that all the people in the audience were just there to get good position for the KoL show. But, after hearing a couple songs I realized they were pretty good. I listened to some of their recorded stuff yesterday, and I'm not exactly sold on them, but they put on a great show.
And, yes, Anna, sucking balls is good. Don't you let anyone tell you different.
Panther, you're one step away from becoming an indie rocker. Let me know when it's time, and I'll throw you your pretentious welcome party, with balloons shaped like balls and hipster redheads :)
