Don't Go Breakin' My Heart

Posted over 2 years ago
So, I haven't really gotten into Little Brother yet, but I'm going to have to check this new album out when it drops. I liked "Good Clothes". I even went to check them out when they performed around my way. But the sounds system was pretty bad, so I couldn't really get into any of there other songs. Anywayz, I found this gem today on hiphopdx.com.So...yeah...it looks like it's officially illegal to release an album without having Lil' Wayne featured on it. I'm liking this track though. Can someone tell me who is doing the verse where he's talking about his mother and father's relationship? That was some good shit.

  2. Anna says I actually had to interrupt my *"Heroes":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes_%28TV_series%29* (imagine that) and come here 'cause I was afraid that you posted this: Don't ever scare me like that again, ever!

  3. msquared64 says why you gotta--- ah come on man... I was gonna post this when I got around to it goddammit goddammit... well, the best man won. It's Phonte on that verse. He's nice.

  4. TroyPowers says Sorry, M8. But, wait, so you've been sitting on this one and haven't shared with the rest of us? For shame! Yeah, that Phonte cat is on top of it. Can't wait for this album to drop. LOL, Anna, I've thought of posting some gay shit in my tenure here on Mog. I was actually listening to Hall & Oates in the gym thinking, "Hey, I should post some Hall & Oates!" But you don't have to worry about me going quite that gay. Closest you'll get from me is maybe a little Wham. And, damnit, am I the only person on the planet not completely consumed by this Heroes thing? I mean, I've watch the first 4 episodes, and really liked them, but...people around here are obsessed! Awww, Lizzie, you're a sweetheart. Deluded, but a sweetheart still. :)

  5. Anna says Keep on watching....it's designed to suck you in! So evil...

  6. Lizziegreeneyes says Hall & Oates are one of my first serious band crushes - to this day really - got to see them two years ago in their hometown of... PHILL-AY and they blew the roof off the motha... so never fear a level of *gayness* for diggin on a band that is the epitome of blue-eyed soul. Wham - well now I just plain luvs ya Troy !!!!

  7. TroyPowers says FOUL!!!! TEN YARDS! Don't you EVER....ever,ever,ever,ever,ever...talk about anything sucking me in, in the same thread where you've posted a video of Elton John and RuPaul. It just...gives me the shivers. But, actually, I'm liking Heroes. The first time I sat down to watch it, I watched four eps, and only stopped there because I had to get up in the morning. Just haven't had time to pick up where I left off. But I've got to get caught up, if for no other reason than it would make could small talk. Now, if I could just figure out how to fit in subliminal messages about oral sex, I'd be ready for Thursday night.

  8. TroyPowers says Hall & Oates still perform? Wow! I wonder if they still have groupies.

  9. Lizziegreeneyes says Heroes is definitely a sucker... it was like Lost for me - the two of them I didn't want to like & now I ADORE !!! & Troy luv, if you're wondering if they still have groupies - I can say with absolute certainty they have at least TWO - my Mum & I. They actually were the headliner in Philly for the 4th celebration & rocked it out even in the rain !!!

  10. TroyPowers says Oh, and to your comment of never fearing gayness...all I have in reply is So, you AND your mom, huh? So, are we talking a "You take Hall and I'll take Oates" type thing, or are we talking one big bed, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? ewwww...I'm ashamed of myself.

  11. Lizziegreeneyes says As well you should be, for shame - I've (thankfully) never actually put the _grouped groovve_ on my groupieness... I am more of a _"band-aid"_ Let's say I am a huge fan - as is my Mum... & I still say they are all man baby ;)

  12. TroyPowers says Oh, come on! The little one (Oates?) looks like he was just interrupted before he was about to put the moves on the tall one (Hall?). I dunno, man. Definitely looks a little "Wham" to me. Man, I think everyone should be allowed to live out one disgusting groupie fantasy before they die. Trust, if I'm ever in dash and leap reach of Beyonce...you can go ahead and start drawing up the sexual assault charges.

  13. BenJourn85 says I don't think that peoplke should get so excited about LB having Wayne on this song, as Okayplayer says, because of his 'gangastaism' (or something like that). I think this topic was perfect for the collabo, because both artists have had songs similar to this in the past. Looking forward to this album too. I got good reveiws in Vibe. Kind of dissapointed 9th isn't around anymore. Thanks for sharing.

  14. msquared64 says oh that last comment reminds me, 9th Wonder dropped an album today.... Troy, nah, I probably got it at the same time as you (and the same way... hiphopdx). Seeing LB next Wednesday though, I'm hoping the sound is okay...

  15. Lizziegreeneyes says *B* may be purrdy - but to me she is so vapid - she wouldn't do it for me at all... & regardless of Oates intentions - Hall is one hot piece of ass & he still is ;)
    Permalink posted 10/09/2007
  16. TroyPowers says Vapid? Duh! She's a woman!!! :p
    Permalink posted 10/09/2007
  17. TroyPowers says Oh, and according to hiphopdx, 9th produced this track, so...he's not too far gone.
    Permalink posted 10/09/2007
  18. Lizziegreeneyes says OK - vapid woman... she just doesn't seem to have substance to me... I won't argue her absolute beauty... she's on a par with J Lo - I don't see much below their surface - but I haven't written them off - would love to see them prove my _opinion_ wrong.

  19. TroyPowers says I submit that an ass has just as much substance as a brain. In ideal cases, more. :) Anyway, intelligent women are way over-rated. They tend to want to do things like...talk and...have an opinion. Both traits I frown upon in women I use.

  24. Lizziegreeneyes says fencing term - but it does mean to touch... Troy's mind, meet gutter, gutter, this is Troy's mind ;P
