End of Independent Study
Well, the powers that be at MSNBC have decided to pull the plug on the column I contribute to called "Independent Study." Evidently writing about indie bands doesn't drive traffic to the site like Britney and Paris do. The Indie Study archive URLs will stick around, but they are not accepting new content. Dang it. And I was well on the way with a "Minus the Bear" story.MSNBC is currently the only media outlet I write for. I am mulling whether to pitch stories elsewhere, or to concentrate on creating my own music, which has languished on the back burner for last couple years while I've been busy writing about other people.
