The Passing Tracks

Posted over 3 years ago
Ever notice those B-sides that you can't figure out why a) you know them so well, or b) why you like them so much?I think I've figured it out - passing tracks. Those tracks sandwiched between two radio hits, when you are too lazy to hit next once and just listen to it in passing to the next song. I've found a few I'd like to pass along to the MOGos:heropsychodreamer, Secret Samadhi, Live - between Turn My Head and FreaksPulling Teeth, Dookie, Green Day - between Welcome to Paradise and Basket CaseBody, 16 Stone, Bush - between Comedown and MachineheadAnyone else have favorite "passing tracks" they have come to love??--Torch

  2. Torch says Ah, but I'm looking specifically for tracks that are stuck between two radio hits on the album...

  3. Anna says Oh, sorry, I got lost in translation :( Garbage, album Version 2.0: Hammering In My Head It was stuck between Special & Push It, both radio hits in Europe. And it's my fav song from that album.

  4. Takeshi Kovacs says Interesting comment - I always seem to give the songs equal billing - but thinking about it, "Girls got Rhythm" on AC/DC's Highway to Hell - sandwiched between Highway to Hell and Walk all over you. I think that in this day and age of play lists that this phenomenon will fall by the wayside.
