The State Theater has become my new favorite intimate place to see a show.  It holds a ton of people, but that includes tables and a balcony.  The standing room up front is quite quaint.

I'll freely admit that the Gin Blossoms haven't been terribly relevent since "Empire Records," but I adore "New Miserable Experience" and have come to find out they age extremely well.

Yeah - they do look like middle aged rockers...

..because they are middle aged rockers!

And yes - that is Robin Wilson singing into someone's cell phone.  The tambourine was passed along the front row several times, with Robin even getting down to the floor to party with us.

All in all, a good show and a great Thursday night near DC.

Quick Hits:

The '08 Crew

Deaf Pedestrians (great find)

Chevelle (Go Chicago!)

Finger Eleven (Love the hollow-body guitar)

Seether (just admit, it's about Amy)

Live - class of the show.  Intensity in ten cities

Didn't have a good shot of Staind, but here's some ADA approved crowd-surfing

Tak and I get a photo op with the DC-101 drivetime DJ, Roche:

It varied, but was pretty decent on average.  There were a few that were outstanding.  I'd love to compete in the cook-off, but then I'd miss most of the show!

the tough question of chili or music? chili or music? heh.

I've got no excuses.  I'm just been busy with other things.

Twice now I've chewed through 250+ MOGMails to at least skim all my trusted MOG posts.  I wish I could have commented on more of them than I did.  Alas - what is done is done.

So ask for everyone's help.  What have I missed?  What posts do I need to read again and jump into?

Another regret is that I haven't kept everyone up to date with my musical musings and attendence.  Because so much time has passed, I won't be able to capture the true essence with my words, so I'll try to add some quips to go along with the pics.

Here we go - and thanks for the help!

No shortage in alcohol and music! Some shortage in music jobs though, but time will tell :)
