Chicago's own Eleventh Dream Day are - as once described by ROLLING STONE - "...one of the most criminally under-appreciated bands in the history of Rock music". And even THAT is an understatement.
But despite this fact - and perhaps BECAUSE of it - they continue to record some of the best music in the universe.
The band has been recording for OVER 25 YEARS with its original core membership of leader RICK RIZZO (guitars/Vocals), his ex-wife JANET BEVEREDGE-BEAN (also of FREAKWATER - Drums/Vocals) and DOUG McCOMBS (also a founder of TORTOISE - Bass).
Their last few albums have been released at 5-6 year intervals on THRILL JOCKEY records and sre "events" definitely worth the wait. Although most do not realize it, last year's ZEROES AND ONES was - by far - the best album of 2006.
Please enjoy DISSOLUTION, the opening track from that album. As you listen, key in on the AMAZING AMAZING bass playing of DOUG McCOMBS, as well as the typical paint-peeling guitar work of RICK RIZZO.
