The **AFGHAN WHIGS** were well known for their love of R&B. The band (may they R.I.P.) were incredible live and one consistent element of their live shows was their performance of what were often very unlikely versions of classic tunes from the 60's.The **WHIGS** could take a **SUPREMES** tune like +My World Is Empty Without You+, for example, and turn it into something quite sinister, twisted and a bit frightening. And you gotta love that!A few of their better known covers made it onto their records, like the attached cover of **TLC**'s +Creep+, from the +HONKY'S LADDER+ EP (a single from their excellent +1965+ album). The band certainly put their stamp on this tune. And as far as I am concerned, **THE AFGHAN WHIGS** now OWN this song, having done far more with it that **TLC** could have ever dreamt of doing.(**THE ATTACHED PHOTO IS OF ONE OF THE TULIP FIELDS ADJACENT TO THE DALEY CENTER IN DOWNTOWN CHICAGO. OF COURSE, TULIPS DON'T LOOK LIKE THIS IN NATURE. THAT WAS +MY+ DOING.... SORTA LIKE RADIOACTIVE TULIPS ON ACID.**)
