BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Artist:
Album: HONKY'S LADDER EP
Track:
(115)

The AFGHAN WHIGS were well known for their love of R&B. The band (may they R.I.P.) were incredible live and one consistent element of their live shows was their performance of what were often very unlikely versions of classic tunes from the 60's.

The WHIGS could take a SUPREMES tune like My World Is Empty Without You, for example, and turn it into something quite sinister, twisted and a bit frightening.

And you gotta love that!

A few of their better known covers made it onto their records, like the attached cover of TLC's Creep, from the HONKY'S LADDER EP (a single from their excellent 1965 album).

The band certainly put their stamp on this tune. And as far as I am concerned, THE AFGHAN WHIGS now OWN this song, having done far more with it that TLC could have ever dreamt of doing.
