The seventh installment of Mile's and I's Moderately Priced Winos weekly podcast is up at modwinos.libsyn.com. Mac was nice enough to invite us round his country home in rural central Texas for a few pints of Guiness and some hearty conversation!
He talks about his days with the Small Faces and the Faces as well as touring with the Stones and fronting his own Bump Band.
We talked and drank in his "pub" parlour; it really is like being in an English pub except the screen door allows a 2 hour Texas sunset to flood the room with pink and orange light.
What a great guy!

I really enjoyed the podcast, (or as I label it for my iPod, "Winocast.") The content is like something you'd hear on NPR. Three rockers kickin' back, reminiscing about touring and recording with people and bands Ive actually heard of! Gimme a man with a sexy Scottish accent and I can listen to him all day! The record level is very low so I had to crank up the volume on my PC to hear much of it, but otherwise it's one of the funnier podcasts the winos have done...defnitely a keeper!

Ian's production of the Faces' 2005 anthology:
'Five Guys Walk into a Bar ...'
Was conceptually and technically outstanding, a very enjoyable offering.
The Bump Band shares personnel with a former Austin-ite and one of my Favorite vocalists Toni Price (she has a MOG page).

That would be a Middlesex accent.

Thanks for posting. I'll check out the podcast thingy. I LOVE Mac and the Bumps. They were great at the Dog n Duck Pub on St. Patrick's day, post SXSW.
Of course, everyone has read his book right? If not, you must it's seriously hilarious, one minute I'm laughing, the next, tears...
Finally, a very memorable night back in the day one Halloween I had a costume party and Ronnie Lane and several of his then band members came. They did "Ooo La La" in my living room...good times! He met his wife and my friend, Susan Lane, there.
Keep on Moggin' Suzanne

i am so happy to see Mac getting the love here on Mog and for people to be praising him. Mac is one of my oldest friends and i can't say enough wonderful things about him.
he's been so incredibly gracious and helpful to all my upstart musician friends....
he bowled over the Forty-Fives, who are, of course HUGE FANS

the Blue Van had a gig get cancelled, but thanks to the advent of cel phones, they were able to learn that Mac had an in-store at Virgin and they got to meet him. If you've heard the Blue Van, you'll know they are more than influenced by the Small Faces

CHEERS MATE!
