WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Nugent For Nissan

Posted over 2 years ago
I loved Ted Nugent when I was 12 years old! I sat in the back of my friends Camaro with the cassette machine cranked listening to Stranglehold. I learned all those licks and they color my guitar playing even today. I have not always agreed with The Nuge's philosphies on politics and what not, but I've always agreed with his rock and roll! I just found it slightly puzzling when I saw a recent ad on tv for Nissan cars from such a hardcore ??Michigan?? rocker.

  1. DPR says Visiting www.tednugent.com is one bizarre experience. You get alternating photos of Ted doing his thing on stage w/guitar in hand & in the 'field' killing innocent wildlife. I fail to see how he makes the jump from Rock-n-Roll and into the foray of taking down big game. And below the photos you get 2 big links: ROCK-N-ROLL & HUNTING! You're weird, Ted dude! And be sure to check out Ted's Sunrise Safaris (http://www.tednugent.com/hunting/sunrize/) where you can shoot the purest Russian bloodline wild boars for only $635 (without ever leaving the comfort of your safari-provided Nissan Titan)!

  4. dermahrk says Well, I think Bob Seger kind of locked up the Detroit rocker - auto endorsement icon deal. I can't think about him (despite having grown up in Michigan) without thinking about his damn truck ads. Somehow, I kind of doubt that Ted will sell a lot of Nissans. Could be wrong....
