MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Artist:

Here's Kathy Valentine from the GoGo's. We've been writing together this week after we met at a New Years Eve party in Austin. She's got somegood ideas and we want to make some music and record a little in the next 2 weeks before I go to LA. I'm going to drive there on the 16th or so to play a show with my old friends The Goods in OC. That show is set for Jan 25th at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa. The band Includes:

Nick Sjobeck (Dodge Dart, ECA)

and Jamie Reidling (Cadillac Tramps, ECA, US Bombs)

Besides the gig, I plan to record some songs with Corey Gash in Santa Ana at his studio. One song I want to do is something I wrote with my old buddy Mr. Johnny Wickersham (Cadillac Tramps, Social Distortion).

He's 2nd from right in this photo. I posted something about Johnny's visit a couple of months back when SD was in town. In between all this I plan on writing, dialoging and recording with someone I've been working with on and off for the past 8 years. Franz Stahl. Franz was the guitarist in the Foo Fighters and was a founding member of legendary DC hardcore band SCREAM.

Don't let this sad photo of him fool you; Franz is a rock monster!

I hope I can stay on task and do all these things and make it back home by the end of the month. Fastball has one show booked for March in Fredericksberg, TX of all places! Miles and I plan to write at least a few songs and bring the band into the studio for new Fastball tracks. Wish me luck. I will try to make good things to listen to! Hope your 2007 is swimming!

K Valentine should write an album where each song is a story about her 80's escapades. What does she sound like now? I'm a fan.

Tony theguythatismoreproductivethanme Scalzo. Sounds awesome, man. We better hear some of this stuff you're going to record soon - mp3, ep, or something! And by the way...and friend of mine who is also a HUGE Fastball fan (The biggest one i know next to myself and Lara) wanted to know if there is ever going to be an official track done for "Love Doesn't Kill You" - and to be honest I'm curious as well. That little demo teaser at the end of Harsh Light of Day is awesome...gets stuck in my head all the time. Other than that, best wishes for 2jamesbond.
