Jennifer and I went to see Social Distortion at Stubb's the other night. I forgot my camera so these pirated images will have to suffice. Had a good time hanging with both bands. Being a transplant from Socal, it was not my first hardcore hoedown but it was Jenn's! She grew up in Oklahoma so she had fun up in the catwalk looking down at the carnage below! The opener's were my good friends from KC, Blackpool lights whose new guitarist is one of my oldest and best friends, from the Belles, Chris Tolle.

During SocialD's day off I got to hang out with my old buddy from Costa Mesa, Mr. Johnny Wickersham. We ate and drove around a bit on a nice fall day. Then, we went to my house and wrote a country song called "Hold me up...So I can Hold It Down" then had a vegetarian dinner. It's so great to live in Austin because, as I've said before, we get those weekday roadshows coming through. I always get in free 'cause I'm an "SIP" (semi important person!). My life rules!
