I used to love this band!In 1989 on May 9th, my band Electric Cool Aide, got to open up for NMA in Huntington Beach, Ca at NightMoves! They weren't supposed to be doing the gig (contract conflict of some kind) so they were billed as New Melody Maker! Nevertheless, the show sold out and I discovered there were many fans of this unknown (in US) , great band! They were super nice and amused that there were so many OC wierdo's out to see them! I know they've been active since, but I kind of lost touch. I was going through my 80's vinyl and up jumped Thunder and Consolation. Check it out if you get a chance! T

  5. RobinH says I saw them around the time of "Ghost Of Cain":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ghost_Of_Cain at Coasters nightclub in Brighton, UK. I just remember them being very intense and bass heavy, from were I was standing. I think the support for the tour was The Babysitters and The Pretty Girls (The Queerboys/"Quireboys":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quireboys, I think, had renamed themselves at the time due to complaints from the Universities that formed part of the tour). Although my memory of this gig is a bit hazy - I was tired.
