I've just arrived home from a busy weekend with the band out to the east coast. We started off in Poughkeepsie, NY for a friday night gig at chances. Ew. What stink-hole! We're done with that place I'll tell you that much. I've never been so happy to get back to the Best Western. Miles and I were being ignored by the bartender so we partied in the parking lot with a Mexican rock band called los Halucinadors or halucinado or something...perhaps they ??were?? an hallucination. Here in Texas it's not rare to encounter Mexicans but it's quite a novelty up in the Hudson Valley. They were very kind to give us some beer. Orale!
Next stop: The Big Apple for a 3 hour cruise around the harbor with Fastball. A great time was indeed had by all with no fatalities, though I fell a few times during the set. The difference between this gig and the Poughkeepsie gig was like day and night. The crowd was right up on us and I was actually worried about spitting on people while I was singing. The crowd seemed to like (and know) the new material, I can tell it's going to be a good year; all we have to do is release the damned album!
