Living in Nashville, we all have friends who have friends who play music. A few months ago a friend told me about his friend named Landon Pigg. Like everyone else who tells me about their friends, I took it with a grain of salt... and moved on. Well, a few weeks ago, I see this single called "Sail On", which is the "free" song of the week on iTunes. It's Landon Pigg. I checked out the single... hmmm... pretty good. Once again, I move on. Last week, I'm checking out my "friend" from above on myspace, and notice that Landon sang backup on his demo. I'm starting to see the name Landon Pigg a lot.... so last night, I bought the album on iTunes. I'm an idiot. Brian, I apologize, I should have listened to you. I can't stop listen to this album... I'm really into it. Enough of the story... more about Landon Pigg.
He was born in Nashville, unlike most of us. His melodies are just smooth. The production is simply amazing. I say "simply" because it is simple, but it's deep and feels good. This kid will be around for a while, he has written some great stuff... I'm able to listen to the whole album straight through. For those who know me, that in itself is an accomplishment.
So check this album out... you won't be dissappointed, and you probably won't get this big of endorsement from me often... But, I love this album!
