After tearing through a "Season in Exile" and now 2/3 of the way into Keef's "Life" I love going back and listening to these original releases and remembering the trill of hearing the opening riff of "If You Can't Rock Me" jump out of my stereo off of the vinyl. IORR is exemplary The Stones at this point in rock history. They just came off of a strong run of great music since Beggars Banquet. Goat

This album fueled reggae's growing influence on artists in the 70's. Clapton and the Stones had given us glimpses of Reggae already. I remember being an outcast when I picked up Marley's earlier "LIVE" after reading about it in all the music mags of the day and hearing cuts from it on the old WNEW in the New York radio market.
