A lot of people thing that Oasis' albums at the end of the nineties and beggining of the 00's aren't as good as 'Definitely Maybe' and '(What's the Story?) Morning Glory' but I think the lyrics are postively Noel Gallagher's best! A lot of the songs on 'Standing on the Shoulders of Giants' are pretty brilliant anyway, but I think songs like 'Go Let it Out' and 'Where Did it all Go Wrong?' are fantastic lyrics! 'Heathen Chemistry', I don't think is as good as SOTSOG, but again the lyrics are very good! 'Be Here Now'...well, some of the the songs e.g. "I Hope, I Think, I know" are really good, but granted the lyrics on some of the songs aren't great ('Magic Pie', for example!) but still very good work!
I'm listening to this song for the first time right now - it's incredible!

when was their most recent disc released? i haven't listened to them since what's the story morning glory.

Haha you've missed quite a lot! Well,their last Release was 'Stop the Clocks', but that was just a Best Of compilation, their last proper album was 'Don't Believe the Truth', from 2005. They're working on an album at the moment, though. :)
