Our good friend and guru Daniel Arcus Incus Ululat (sometimes Belteshazzar) Higgs has been nominated for a Plug Award!
Higgs' Atomic Yggdrasil Tarot came out on Thrill Jockey back in June, and has been nomited for the award for the Avant Album of the Year.
Atomic Yggdrasil Tarot is a collection of solo recordings and paintings by Higgs, 48-pages and a CD in a hard-cover book. Check out the track "Creation Moans" here, and see more about the release at ThrillJockey.com.

Extra Golden is bi-continental collaboration between Kenyan and Amercian musicians, an innovative combination of east African benga guitar pop and American boogie rock that includes former members of the band Golden. This sophmore recording was done during the band's US tour last fall, the Kenyan members' first trip outside of east Africa.
"Obama" is a song of praise for the Senator and his staff for helping the Kenyan members of the band clear visa hurdles to tour the US and record this album in 2006.
Hera Ma Nono" will be out on October 9th on Thrill Jockey. Ok-Oyot System and Opiyo Bilongo's What do People Want are out now.
