Too much of anything can be a bad thing. That's what this song is about. This is an acoustic version of one of the songs I wrote quite a while back. There lyrics are as follows-
You're only wanting to go, To a place where you don't have to say, 'No' Figure it out and make a Place inside a face. Don't leave your heart far away
CHORUS Unwanted predilections in your mind you try to hide But subversion of desire is the nature of denial Now there's nothing that you can do so just sit back and relinquish control There's no use in trying, No use in trying anymore, You've already done 3 times 2 much.
It's time to bring it to the front. There's no escaping from the hunt. The wolf has got a hold and She's ready to tear you apart. The price of pleasure is the scar.
CHORUS

"Full Sail Real World Education is a School located in Winter Park, Florida, geared toward the entertainment industry and known for its around-the-clock schedule. It offers degree programs in Computer Animation, Digital Arts & Design, Entertainment Business, Film, Game Development, Music Business, Recording Arts, and Show Production & Touring. Full Sail awards associate's, bachelor's degrees, and master's degrees after 12 to 21 months of an accelerated education.

Scheduling

Full Sail has gained a reputation for having a challenging lab and class schedule. The school essentially operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with students in class or lab for 4 hours at a time; lectures generally take place between the hours of 9:00am and 9:00pm, while labs run throughout the day.

Full Sail’s degree programs start monthly. Throughout the course of a program, the average Full Sail student will have two courses at one time, with one course occurring on three days a week and the other course occurring on two. This course load can fluctuate, however, according to the student’s program and month.

Courses are generally four weeks long, but some are longer, and new courses start every four weeks. This schedule allows Full Sail a fluid, if intense, operating method. If a student fails a course for poor grades (as opposed to poor attendance), they can take the course over again the following month at no additional cost, as long as the schedule for the degree is maintained. If a student fails a class for poor attendance, however, they must pay the course cost again to retake it.

Costs

Unlike many colleges, Full Sail’s tuition prices cover all expenses for a degree program. Course manuals (sometimes created by the school for the specific courses) for all classes are provided at no additional cost, and any art supplies or other materials are provided at no cost upon entering the course requiring them.

Tuition costs range from $43,005 (for Show Production & Touring) to $64,775 (for Game Development) for the entire degree program. As the school is located in Orlando, Florida, relocation (and living expenses, if necessary) will add additional costs. In 2007, the school introduced a new program called Apple Launch Box - every student in the school now receives an Apple Mac Book Pro with software relevant to their degree program (except for Game Development students, who still receive a PC laptop). The cost of this computer is an additional institutional fee which can range from $1900 to $2700, depending on the program and software configuration."

One of the programs that Full Sail has is called the Artist Relations program and any student or musician in the community can come in and work with a Session Recording class to record in the Full Sail studios. Earlier today, I had a four hour session where we recorded acoustic guitar and vocals for four songs.

Here's one of the songs I recorded today. Enjoy.

From NPR.com-

"As frontman for the Seattle rock band Death Cab for Cutie, and part of the electro-pop duo Postal Service, Ben Gibbard has won over legions of fans for his literate, bittersweet songwriting. Now on a short hiatus from both bands, Gibbard is embarking on a month-long solo tour. Hear him in a full concert recorded at Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club with Johnathan Rice and David Bazan.

Gibbard formed Death Cab for Cutie in 1998 not long after meeting guitarist Chris Walla. The band released five acclaimed albums on the independent label Barsuk before singing to Atlantic Records in 2003. Their major label debut, Plans was released in 2005. Death Cab for Cutie's tour for that album was featured on NPR's live concert series.

While continuing with Death Cab for Cutie, Gibbard co-wrote and produced an album of songs with electronic artist Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel) for a side project they called The Postal Service. The resulting album Give Up, went Gold in the U.S. and became one of Sub Pop Records most popular releases of all time.

For his brief solo tour Gibbard is playing a mix of new material with songs from both Death Cab for Cutie and Postal Service.

Joining Gibbard for the tour is David Bazan, frontman and founder of the Seattle rock group Pedro the Lion, and singer-songwriter Johnathan Rice. Since forming Pedro the Lion in 1995, Bazan has remained the principal focus of the band with a rotating cast of supporting musicians. He's expected to release a full-length solo album later this year.

Johnathan Rice is a native of the Washington, D.C. area who moved to New York after graduating from high school in 2001 to pursue a career in music. He eventually released an EP, Heart and Mind that got the attention of Warner Bros. / Reprise. The major label signed him for his full-length debut Trouble Is Real, released in 2005. His next album tentatively titled Further North, is expected to be released in the Fall."

Check it out.
