Wow -- she looks great -- loved her on the 1970s Clapton records.

A True story:  The First ever Rock Concert In The Providence Civic Center..(Now called The Dunk..{Dunkin Donuts something or other})...was Eric Clapton's show supporting 461 Ocean Boulevard, with Yvonne Elliman. During Clapton's first set some yo-yo in the audience threw a beer bottle over the stage into the backstage area. I never knew if it was for real or not but Ms Elliman came out on stage with a bandaged hand, took a mike in her good hand & jus TORE INTO US!!!  She was either truly furious or one hell of an actress...but in all my years I have never heard a female string together such an artfully crafted string of cusswords  before or since.  She lit us up. A crowd of thousands sat there in stunned silence. Her voice was the only sound. Clapton stood there wide-eyed & taken aback, when he wasn't scanning us with the evil eye.  When Ms Elliman turned and left the stage she got a standing O...from every-fucking-body, even the band.

Another great moment for her was singing "The Core" with Clapton.  It's great to finally see her, and see and hear some of her other wonderful performances.

DeadManDeadMan - that's a great concert story!  The third photo down from the top that is black and white with Eric Clapton was taken during that tour.

The story that Yvonne shares about Bob Dylan chasing a one legged woman through an old brothel window is hands down the most surreal story I've heard in a long time when it comes to the world of rock and roll.

    *lol
