Our radio website got slammed with over a thousand emails and hits the past two days due to search engine frenzy about "Blister Of The Spotlight" from Ashtar Command. It was played on "Ugly Betty" last Thursday evening during a scene with Betty on the street at night as the fireworks went off in the distance. This was not the song heard at the very end of the show. This was about fifteen minutes before the show was over. People from around the country have been trying to find this song and somehow Google and Yahoo! along with several other search engines brought them to us. Wow. The power of the internet.

Yup, seems like careers don't take off like they used to, on the radio. Now, commercials and TV shows can also serve to introduce artists to mass audiences. And MySpace, YouTube, etc. etc.

Only a thousand??
With Chris Holmes as well as Rachael Yamagata on the track i would of expected your mailbox to have exploded by now..
Listen to this music... it's no wonder!
You have probably saved many, many people hours of searching for this, so thanks to you people for posting this.
I don't know what i would do without the formats dermarhk has commented about.
What he has said is true.
When i had the amazing good fortune of seeing that person called Prince back a few years with 1499 other fortunate ones, he performed a medley of old funky tunes from way back with artists like the ojays and the like.
Before he set it off he remarked
"What ever happened to the radio?"
i think maybe it's moved to where we are now.
Here.....Cyberwhateva.
I live in Canada and i listen to a radio station in Hawaii.
who would of thought this would be the way fifteen, twenty years ago.
me? i'm rollin' with it.
Don't have a choice.

p.s. how many hits are you thinking on the red button the next few days?
