We awoke at the crack of dawn and burned down 8 hours on the road with one goal in mind -- to worship in the closest thing The Teenage Prayers have to a church.That’s right. The Stax/Volt museum in Memphis TN.Amazingly, and this is why Memphis is one of the coolest places on earth, as we made our way through the museum, i noticed a mild-mannered looking gent taking a group through on something like a guided tour. after lurking around them and hearing some of the amazing stories about Stax and Memphis music, i finally figured out who it was: oh, only John Fry, the guy who STARTED ARDENT RECORDS. jesus god. what else. oh, we ran into our friends from NYC, The Big Sleep, as they too wandered downtown Memphis.
