More News and Reviews

We have started working the new record at college radio and specialty radio (which means shows on commercial stations that play different music than the rest of the station/new music etc.) and so far its been GREAT! We are 2 weeks out and are at 83 on the CMJ chart, thanks in no small measure to the folks at Pirate and Planetary who are working the record for us, and nothing short of spectacular!The band has gotten some great reviews/posts so far, with a lot more hopefully pending. Big thanks to Bruce Warren at WXPN who gave us the first love on his blog - Some Velvet Blog http://somevelvetblog.blogspot.com/2008/01/teenage-prayers.html , and started the record on WXPN in Philly - amazing station, amazing person. Then an incredible "love letter" in Popmatters by David Banish - the longest and coolest thing written about The Teenage Prayers to date - http://www.popmatters.com/pm/features/article/52507/the-teenage-prayers-new-york/ . And then today a great review in The Tripwire by Phillip Mottaz - http://www.thetripwire.com/reviews/2008/2/20/everyone-thinks-youre-great. So exciting to see people digging this record.We are hard at work on finalizing the SXSW tour dates - they will be playing their way down and back to austin this year, van willing, as well as playing 2 or 3 shows in Austin during SXSW.
