WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Hidden images in Music - This is as geeky as it gets :)

Posted over 2 years ago
Found this over on Digg today. Apparently images are sometimes hidden in the audio of a track, and can be viewed via some audio spectrograph software. Check out the video below of Aphex Twin's track '#2 (the long formula)' from his 'Windowlicker' album.
For those who want to delve deeper and go do this for themselves, I found "this":http://www.bastwood.com/aphex.php excellent article by the producer of the video.
At around 5:27 you will see the best of the images!

  1. ponchoandy says I already thought Aphex Twin was cool....now I think he's even cooler. That's fantastic. I wonder if there are any spectrograph clues hidden on the new album by The Tuss...the artist who is, supposedly, another pseudonym for Richard D. James.

  13. Lady Miss Ian says BF - I think we're pegging the Geek-o-meter on this post. :-) Very cool. I watched it with the sound off so I could concentrate on the images. It's kind of like a moving Rorschach Test.
