I've been a fan of Leonard Cohen's for quite awhile now, but I only heard this album for the very first time yesterday when I picked it up at a used cd store close to my neighborhood. The song attached titled Avalanche is simply ridiciulously unbelievable. I can't stop listening to it. What can I say, I'm now obsessed. That voice. That guitar. Mesmerizing. I think my first taste of him came from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack (the song, Waiting for the Miracle playing during the opening credits). It was only shortly afterwards that I discovered that Ween's album artwork for The Pod is modeled after Leonard Cohen's greatest hits album. Here's the two pictures of the two albums: At any rate, Cohen's been around for awhile so I'm sure this is not anything new for most of you. But I figured this would be well worth it if, by chance, one of you was not familiar with this song. If I get one convert than my mission is accomplished; it simply must be passed along.
