well it appears i haven't been on mog for quite a while. i suppose this calls for a post. so hows everyone been?
lately i've been listening to voxtrot a lot. man they are amazing. so last night i was in the car with one of my friends as we were driving to the mall from applebees to meet up with a couple of friends and he had like the best music collection in the world. thanks to my lovely memory i forget every single band he played for me. im disappointed in myself.
and listen to this. the decemberists, bright eyes, and bloc party all are playing either in the city or in jersey city in march and i can only go to see one of them!!!!!! im so upset and i have no idea who i should go see. actually i think im stuck between bright eyes and bloc party. im leaning towards bright eyes tho.
ahhhh, but now since midterms and such are over i can finally go searching for some new music. ne recommendations?
and so my first post on mog...
Well, 2006 is coming to a close. Will i miss it? im not quite sure. so many things have happened. id say this may have been the most dramatic year of my life, not that i've lived many. but, oh well. i guess that makes it something to miss, yet im pretty happy a fresh start is coming. i was recently going through some songs in my library and stumbled upon steadier footing. the file was "artist-less" so it wasnt under lovely death cab. consequentially i had not listened to that often. im quite happy that i rediscovered it. i wonder whether it was a new years party ben was reffering to. i doubt it, although i kind of hope it is. "we just talk about the people we've met in the last five years and will we remember them in ten more"
that line is so true. being in highschool now, it makes me wonder whether or not i'll still be in touch with my friends. im filled with such sorrow at realizing that realistically i most likely wont.
ben's voice is so pure. i want to say angelic but something prevents me from saying so. i admire him and the rest of the band so deeply. i have yet to see them live. i missed them wen they were playing at msg in nyc. i was actuallyi n the city that day, but for other reasons. i heard that they might be playing at a concert called bamboozle on may 5-6 in east rutherford, nj which is quite close to where i live. i've already been planning to go. if death cab were there i would be absolutely thrilled. im not quite in a mood to write much more. and for those of you who have actually read this i thank you for you must be very close to death by boredom. haha.
well, my first post on mog. may it be... oh i dont know. may it enter me into the lovely world of mogging! =]

generally speaking, though, the bands at bamboozle sort of suck, so if they played at bamboozle, i'd be more upset than happy. no offense, though, ha.

i say go see either the decemberists or bloc party.
as for recommendations.....john vanderslice, band of horses, mates of state, and arcade fire are what i've been living off of lately.
