Got Me A Date With Amy!

This very Friday evening, I shall be in the company of the delightful Ms Winehouse at the Empire Theatre in Shepherds Bush, London. Oh boyoboyoboyoboy!!!! Hot diggity!Looking forward to hearing live renditions of the wonderful songs from Back To Black and Frank, but also keeping my fingers crossed for the occasional curveball cover version.Here's an early-ish clip, in which she takes on Teach Me Tonight, one of Dinah Washington's best, from a BBC show, Jools Holland's Hootenanny, at the tail-end of 2004. Note the subdued coiffure, as this was before she opted for a hairstyle with more volume than a pensioner's TV...

    thill says damn you mr. staunton! i just read in uncut or mojo (i try to keep up with what 'you people' are into over there) a little blip about at one of her shows she sang one song and had to go off stage and vomit and then came back! that is moxie! there was also a bit about her in this week's Newsweek magazine and they ask her about some of her behavior and for many she said she was drunk and they asked her about harassing Bono at some british music awards and she said, "nope. stone sober just couldn't stand listening to his crap anymore." boy, did the love increase with that one... you can date her if she can be my new best friend. can either of us keep up w/her drinking though?
