WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Make a Good Album Better

Posted over 3 years ago
First off, I love Audioslave. Side note: I loved Rage and Garden even more. When the first album came out I was conflicted, but after a few listens I started to get into it. There was something, though, that kept me from truly enjoying the album fully, and a week ago I discovered the reason: Too many songs. I found that after removing a few songs makes this 3 star album into a 4. What songs to skip is up to you but I find Set It Off, Exploder, and Getaway Car to be useless:Set It Off - Sounds political, Cornell sucks at that, listen to Superiority Complex and you understandExploder - I like the lyrics, but the song is filler, nothing special, clickGetaway Car - Nice song, but with Gasoline, and I Am The Highway, this album sounds like a commercial for DodgeAnd so remove a few unneccessaries from your playlist and enjoy a great album, greater."Let's go Sexin!"

  1. Heli0tr0pe says Eh. I loved Rage and 'Garden too, but this band, with their amazing combo of talent...just doesn't make it. The songs are watery and weak. In fact, they're so generic, I have dubbed them: BEIGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!

  2. lemontwist says Hmmm... I still have mixed feelings about Audioslave. I really dig their new song Revelations, but the rest of that album was just so... mediocre. I never got into their first two albums but honestly haven't really given them full listens yet. I hate to say this, but they'll just never measure up to the bands they used to be. Which saddens me. Too much talent for their own good.

  3. deathjoy says I love the lyrics on their first cd, they have a very introspective, philosophical feel to them. To me, anyways.
