I got to interview Pete Townshend on Thursday. It was via e-mail, so it wasn't as cool as it could've been.... but it was PETE "FUCKING" TOWNSHEND.I'll post it after it publishes, which won't be for a month or so, but I did want to share some thoughts...1) He's actually quite polite in his writing. I expected short answers with little or no personality, but he was verbose and thoughtful.2) The guy really thinks abstractedly. He explained Lifehouse a bit and it made absolutely no sense. Then he talked about how he wrote songs from the perspective of the audience and it made no sense.3) He's fast. I sent the interview in around 10 a.m. and had a response by 2.
