Lindsey redux

The show was wonderful - even if Stevie Nicks didn't show up. I actually have a feeling she was there, at least her mother was - Lindsey dedicated Never Going Back Again to her.The crowd was rowdy, but it didn't seem to faze Lindsey this time, he was grinning and flirting with the girls in the front row while laying out a smoking version of I'm So Afraid. He even laughed a bit when an audience member shouted out for him to play Landslide. The highlights, of course were the big guitar Mac numbers (So Afraid, World Turning - which featured a cool drum solo and the keyboard player sampling Lindsey's lyrics, Tusk and Go Your Own Way), but the acoustic Go Insane sounded extra menacing and the few tunes from Under the Skin he played were an improvement over the album. I even liked Holiday Road. The only misstep I felt was the new slow, acoustic arrangement of Trouble - it didn't work like Big Love or Go Insane did, although the solo acoustic version of Bleed to Love Her sounded great. He said he'll be back next year - so anyone who thought that seeing the Pet Shop Boys was more important will have another chance. :-)
